As of Friday, 11 May, we are in the final stages of the building permit application process for 8745 Government Street Phase 6.  We expect to receive it within two weeks and will then commence construction on the final phase of this neighborhood.  We will be building five days a week for this build, Tuesday through Saturday, so we will need your help!

As part of a new partnership, the Everyday Essentials brand has introduced specially designed products to benefit Habitat for Humanity Canada into stores across the country. The Everyday Essentials brand offers affordable home goods and we are thrilled that they are introducing products that will help support affordable housing in Canada. The Everyday Essentials Habitat for Humanity Canada mug set housed in a hat box is sold in the Real Canadian Superstore and Nofrills stores. So buy a couple for yourself, as gifts (already in an attractive box) and pass the word through your social media.  They’re only $10 and the money goes toward a terrific cause!

Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver builds homes for people in need of safe, decent and affordable shelter, so who better to lead the way than Tim Wake, an affordable housing consultant.  As our new CEO, Tim brings a wealth of affordable housing experience.  Tim has the able and dedicated support of the staff, volunteers and Board of Directors.  
 

BC Home & Garden Show Prize Winner!

March 21, 2012 - Joanne Perschbacher, Director, Sales & Marketing of Delta Vancouver Suites, presented a grateful Akina Lam with the draw prize from the Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver booth at the BC Home & Garden Show, which included hockey tickets, a deluxe room at the Delta Vancouver Suites, Donnelly Group restaurant certificates, and many other goodies!  Many thanks to all donors, including John Bennett of Mackenzie Financial for the hockey tickets and Jill Kivett of Marketplace Events for the terrific booth!
